Adams Hendry successfully gained planning consent on behalf of Grundon Waste Management for their Integrated Waste Management Facility at Wingmoor Farm in Gloucestershire.
Adams Hendry’s experiences of the waste planning sector and Environmental Impact Assessment were combined to develop a robust case in support of the project. Clearly demonstrating that the project was necessary to meet an identified need was a key part of securing consent. Although further scrutiny post grant of permission took place whilst the Courts heard, and ultimately turned down, requests for appeals the consent was granted without the need for a public inquiry.
This strategic facility will enable Grundon to provide integrated waste management within Gloucestershire to meet landfill and waste processing requirements, as well as provide regional and national capacity for the management of hazardous wastes.
