Providing a range of Local Plan Support
One project where we were able to provide all of the above support (and more) was at Eastleigh Borough Council where Adams Hendry provided extended support to the Council to assist with the preparation of the emerging Eastleigh Borough Local Plan 2016-2036. In addition to providing the evidence in support of the local plan, drafting policy and justifying this at examination, we also undertook a full update of the Council’s Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment from an initial call for sites through the full site assessment and analysis process. We shortlisted and assessed sites proposed for allocation in the plan. We produced two annual updates of the Authority Monitoring Report and produced the inaugural Brownfield Land Register. We produced and updated an Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP). We project managed the involvement of other consultants producing evidence on affordable housing, air quality and development viability. We were also hands-on in helping Council Members and local communities understand and engage in the preparation of the local plan. Finally we produced evidence statements for the local plan examination, appeared at the examination on behalf of the Council and drafted modifications to the plan in response to the Inspector’s findings.
