Job Title: Part-Time Accounts Manager
Location: Winchester
Hours: Part-Time – 15 hours per week (3 hours per day, Monday to Friday)
Hours may be varied subject to business needs and mutual agreement
Reports To: Financial Controller
Salary: FTE £40 - £50k depending on experience
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable part-time Accounts Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial administration of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, supporting budgeting and reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily accounting operations, including sales and purchase ledgers.
• Process invoices, supplier payments, and customer receipts.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting systems.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and HMRC when required.
• Support payroll processing and pension administration.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist management with financial analysis and decision-making information.
Skills and Experience
Essential
• Previous experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance management role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
Desirable
• AAT qualification or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Experience working within a small or medium-sized business.
• Knowledge of payroll administration and VAT returns.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable with a high degree of accuracy.
