Adams Hendry has prepared technical evidence and acted as planning expert witness on behalf of Dorset County Council in respect of a number of compensation claims resulting from land acquisition for transport schemes.
We assess planning policy and relevant planning permissions in the scheme and no scheme worlds, including the relevant statutory and non-statutory assumptions. Our robust technical approach provided the Council with a sound basis on which to negotiate settlements, in some cases saving the client significant sums compared to original claims, and avoiding the additional time and cost associated with progression of a case through the Lands Chamber.
We also review and advise on claimants exhibits, expert reports, rebuttals and supplementary reports, and act as Expert Witness at the Lands Chamber, liaising with client, legal team and counsel throughout.
