Adams Hendry is actively helping to deliver the Garden Bridge, a new pedestrian footbridge spanning the River Thames, linking Temple in the City of Westminster and the South Bank in the London Borough of Lambeth. Our involvement on this high profile infrastructure project has included helping to prepare the planning application documentation, stakeholder management and preparation of documents for planning committee. Our graphics team are working closely with the Garden Bridge Trust to design consultation and promotional material for both print and digital media.
The bridge will be highly sculptural and feature a substantial garden. As well as providing a new river crossing it will create a new public open space which will contribute towards improving the quality of the pedestrian environment in Central London and support an increase in walking. It will improve transport connectivity, efficiency and resilience for the South Bank area by providing a direct connect to the London Underground network at Temple.
The Garden Bridge Trust is a new charity established to promote and seek funding to build and maintain the bridge, and Transport for London is supporting the Trust to seek planning permission for the Garden Bridge.
