In 2011 Adams Hendry successfully gained planning consent on behalf of Grundon Waste Management for the continuation of operations at Wingmoor Farm Integrated Waste Management Facility in Gloucestershire.

The strategic facility will enable Grundon to provide integrated waste management within Gloucestershire, and to help Gloucestershire County Council to meet their landfill and waste processing requirements, as well as provide regional and national capacity for the management of hazardous wastes.

Permission was granted to extend the operational life of the site until 2029. The facility has capacity to landfill over 4 million cubic metres of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes and is supported with a waste treatment plant, which enables Air Pollution Control (APC) residues to be safely landfilled, and a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). The MRF has capacity to process up to 50,000 tonnes of waste per annum. Grundon aims to achieve a 75% recycle rate when the MRF is fully operational. The consent also includes the extraction of the remaining sand and gravel, together with continued extraction of clay for engineering uses.

Adams Hendry were contracted by Grundon Waste Management to prepare and submit the planning application, including the co-ordination and preparation of the Environmental Statement to support the application.
