| South Hampshire: Integrated Water Management Strategy | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
Adams Hendry was commissioned by Atkins to provide planning advice and input to the preparation of the Strategy for its client, the Partnership for Urban South Hampshire (PUSH). PUSH is a partnership of the eleven local authorities within the South Hampshire sub-region, working together to secure economic growth and the development of sustainable communities. The Strategy is a critical part of those plans, advising PUSH on the future water supply, wastewater and flood risk implications arising from growth proposals, and identifying the associated infrastructure requirements. |
Adams Hendry provided planning advice to the project team, including a review and advice on the linkages between the separate water company planning and town planning systems. Existing and emerging development plan policy was also reviewed and recommendations made for model policies that could be used across the sub-region. The final report was published in December 2008. It can be viewed on the PUSH website at: http://www.push.gov.uk |
