Adams Hendry has extensive experience in the wastewater industry and has been instrumental in assisting clients to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of UK and European legislation. By their very nature, wastewater schemes can be complex and politically controversial. We work closely with client teams, engineering and environmental consultancies in the design, environmental assessment, consultation, promotion and consenting of schemes.
Our experience covers the range of wastewater projects. We have secured town planning, marine and other consents for new wastewater treatment works, sludge treatment and recycling centres, treatment plant, equipment and pipelines, as well as a series of first time sewerage schemes. We also advise clients on permitted development rights and the operational implications and requirements of conditions imposed on planning consents. Our role has extended to protecting client’s infrastructure and their future development options through advising on emerging planning policies at the local, regional and national level, including appearing on their behalf at inquiries and examinations.
