Adams Hendry has been appointed by Bovis Homes and Heron Land Developments to promote their interests at north Winchester for predominantly residential development. This has included making representations on the South East Plan and Winchester Local Development Framework. As part of our representations on the draft South East Plan we argued that the housing requirement for Winchester District outside the South Hampshire sub-region was insufficient. This was accepted by the Panel and Secretary of State and the requirement for this part of the District was increased by 1,800 dwellings over the Plan period in the adopted South East Plan. |
Adams Hendry successfully argued that any strategic residential allocation should be located to the north of the city as part of the consultation on Issues and Options for the Winchester Core Strategy and are now engaged in justifying the extent of that allocation. We have recently submitted detailed comments on Winchester City Council’s draft Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment, both the methodology and detailed site assessments, and have critically examined the evidence base supporting the draft Core Strategy as part of our representations on the Preferred Option. |
