Adams Hendry was appointed by David Wilson Homes to promote land at Meiros Farm, Ashington for residential development through the Horsham Local Development Framework. As well as submitting representations on the Core Strategy, Adams Hendry submitted representations and appeared at the Examination into the Site Specific Allocation of Land Development Plan Document.

A key issue at the examination related to the appropriateness of allocating land in Ashington (a less sustainable Category 2 settlement) for residential development other than to meet specific local needs such as affordable housing. The Inspector agreed with the arguments put forward by Adams Hendry and allocated the site for 35 dwellings, of which only 40% were required to be affordable.
