Adams Hendry was retained to provide planning policy advice to the Council in relation to the Kingston Town Centre Area Action Plan (AAP) from pre-submission stage through to the Examination. The AAP was one of the early DPDs prepared under the new planning system, progressing ahead of the Council’s Core Strategy. The timing and nature of the DPD raised complex issues relating to soundness.

Our role was to provide advice to the Council on process and content of the AAP, including support prior to and at the Examination, working closely alongside the Council’s team of officers. We were extremely pleased when the AAP was subsequently found Sound.
