Adams Hendry provided advice and support to Southern Water and its consultants Atkins in relation to drought projects across southern England.

Our role included undertaking pre-application consultation with statutory consultees on Drought Order and Drought Permit applications in Hampshire/Isle of Wight, Sussex and Kent.

We also provided advice on permitted development rights and EIA requirements on specific water resource schemes designed to alleviate the impact of drought on available water resources. This included schemes to remove operational and water quality constraints on existing water sources, bringing closed water resource sites back into use, and other potential drought projects.
