Welcome to the dedicated pages to the Devon County Minerals Core Strategy Stakeholder Workshops. 

Adams Hendry is very pleased to have been appointed to assist Devon County Council at the forthcoming Stakeholder Workshops in Exeter in February and March 2007.

The County’s Minerals and Waste Development Scheme confirms the Council’s intention to carry out consultation in the early stages of the Minerals Development Documents and the events will assist in securing community and industry involvement in planning for future minerals in the County.

Adams Hendry will act as independent facilitators and will be seeking to:

Develop consensus
Manage the process independently
Channel discussions in a constructive manner
Share the work of participants and
Foster participation!

Through the meetings we will be seeking outomes to inform the Core Strategy and in particular:

A spatial vision
Objectives
Identification of key issues
Option for addressing these issues

I cannot emphasise enough that this really is your opportunity to influence the process at this early stage in the “new” plan making process.

I would encourage you to use the web pages, links and the on-line Forum to access background information and wider sources of material provided to assist debate at the Stakeholder Workshops.  The on-line Forum is a means of “posting” any comments / thoughts you have on Minerals Planning in the County and to assist in continuing the debate outside the Workshops themselves.  I have posted some topics to get you started..but “log-on” and feel free to raise any other mineral related issues.
