Welcome to the Wiltshire and Swindon Waste Development Framework Forum!

Waste is an issue high on all of our personal and collective agendas, and I am sure many of you will be interested in playing an active part in shaping the way waste is planned and managed in your area, from strategic principles and policies to site-specific allocations.  This is very much your Forum – it is your discussions, debates, questions and input which will help to shape the evolution of the Waste Development Framework, the new style planning policy document.    

If you are attending the Forum Meetings please make use of this online resource to supplement the process.  Links are available to all of the Topic Papers and background reading which will provide context to the process.  If you are unable to attend the Forum Meetings themselves, please feel free to browse the pages and contribute to the Online Forum which is also accessible from these pages.  The Online Forum is intended to stimulate discussion.  If you have any questions or areas of clarification between Meetings this would be a good place to air these issues.  The Facilitation team and the Planning Officers will be taking an active role in the Online Forum, and pertinent debates and questions will be discussed at the ensuing Forum Meeting.
